Richard Myers created the terms “pawrent”, “pawrents” and “pawrenting” in 2000 out of the love for Chase, to capture the essence of the special bond between humans and their pets. This simple yet powerful term became the cornerstone of a brand that would redefine pet ownership. Sadly, Richard and Elizabeth lost Chase to cancer in 2012, but his legacy lives on through the company.
Mission and Vision: Fueled by the desire to express their love for Chase and share the joy of pet parenthood with others, Richard and Elizabeth launched pawrent.com in 2001. Their first e-commerce website wasn’t just about selling clothing; it was about creating a lifestyle brand. From this vision, the Pawrent® and Grandpawrent® lines of human clothing and accessories were born.
